Part 2: The Breakthrough – How We Finally Cracked the Bra Clasp Design

Updated: Mar 24

In Part 1, I shared the century old problem. But knowing what's broken and actually fixing it are two very different things.

After dozens of sketches, prototypes, and dead ends, the breakthrough finally came from an unexpected place. Here's how it works—and why it changes everything.

The "Slide and Click" Mechanism

Most bra clasps haven't evolved because they're made to industry standards to suit mass production rather than customer needs. But bodies and needs change over time and industry standards isn't the same as easy, secure, or beautiful.

The Flashback Clasp uses a slide and click mechanism. Two interlocking pieces slide together and click into place. To fasten, you simply insert one piece vertically into the slot of the other.

That's all. No fumbling. No twisting. No frustration.

No Sewing. No Commitment. One Clasp, Endless Bras.

You don't need a new bra. Flashback attaches to any back fastening bra with 2 or 3 hooks.

To swap between bras? Just unhook it from one and attach it to another. No sewing, no tools, no hassle.

It's not a replacement for your bra. It's an upgrade you can move from bra to bra—so one purchase works with your entire wardrobe.

Think of it as the one accessory that makes all your others look better.

Designed to Feel Secure, Not Seen (Unless You Want It To Be)

The clasp is made from 100% zinc alloy — no nickel, no cheap metals that cause skin sensitivity. It meets international safety standards, feels luxurious, and is built to last.

But durability isn't enough. It had to be unobtrusive. The sleek profile means it won't show under form fitting clothes. But if your outfit reveals the back? It's designed to embellish, not hide.

Available now in:

• Classic Gold

• Rose Gold

• Satin Black

More colors to come.

The Unexpected "Aha" Moment

During testing, users kept saying the same thing: "My bra feels more secure."

I hadn't expected that. A metal clasp, it turns out, doesn't just look more substantial—it feels more substantial. That quiet confidence? It became one of the features I'm most proud of.

When something works the way it should, you stop thinking about it—and start thinking about everything else.

What's Next?

Flashback launched with these three core colors because they work for everyone. But the questions are already coming in:

• Will you make a left handed version?

• What about different sizes?

• Can we get limited edition colors?

The answer is: Yes—when the demand is there. So if you have a request, I'm listening.
